INTERSECTING EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE WITH LEADERSHIP EFFECTIVENESS
The purpose of this course is to provide private and public sector professionals with a greater
understanding of how Emotional and Social Intelligence (ESI) sets the stage for advancing personal
growth and leadership effectiveness. Controlling one’s emotions, and the impact of their emotions
on others, is crucial if leaders strive to create a healthy, successful, and respected organization.
This course will explore the undeniable connection between ESI and Leadership Effectiveness. Some
of the philosophies and concepts outlined in this course will delve into Introspection, Effective
Leadership Traits, Emotional and Social Intelligence, Organizational Awareness, Teamwork, and how
each serve as an important basis to develop trust and respect amongst peers, subordinates,
superiors, and others.
